Research direction
Ontos works on the layers between raw physical state and reliable machine action: spatial and temporal representations, world reasoning, robot learning across embodiments, explainable capability context, machine communication, and task verification.
The goal is not to hide robotics behind a general claim of intelligence. Each layer needs explicit interfaces, evidence, evaluation, and boundaries that preserve native control and safety systems.
Engineering areas
P37 Neuro explores cross-embodiment policies and deterministic runtime boundaries. Sense turns telemetry into explainable current-capability context. Verify connects job-specific physical evidence to verification and settlement. UMP provides a bounded semantic layer for heterogeneous machines.
These open-source projects expose current architecture and status so developers can distinguish implemented platform software from capabilities still being trained or qualified.
